About twenty minutes ago I decided before I would finish my homework I would sign onto my social networking sites (mainly Twitter) just to see what today was about.
WORST. MISTAKE. EVER.
Whilst scrolling down my timeline, a particular tweet stuck out at me like a knife coming towards my heart. It stated "Mumford and Sons are going on hiatus" followed by a confirmed link from Rolling Stone magazine. Well if you're wondering if that knife made it's way into my heart, progress report, I'm currently bleeding to death as we speak.
Wow, that sounded horribly morbid, I apologize but I hope you understand my pain of loosing such a an amazing band for an indefinite amount of time.
I am thankful for the fact that I did get to see them live when they rolled by Arizona this summer on what apparently was their last U.S. tour. It was an amzing show and I get chills (and post concert depression [pcd]) just thinking about it.
But as they say, all good things must come to an end, even if it's just temporary and let's be honest here, after two amazing albums, winning album of the year at the Grammy's and not to mention bassist Ted's health scare a few months ago, this band is due for a well deserved break. Nonetheless, let's all throw a mourning party where we can watch videos, interviews, stare at their faces and cry over Mumford and Sons, yeah? I'll bring the tissues!
